I have visited the Isle of Skye many times over the years-mostly staying on self catering accommodation in the Braes on the east side of the island. Ben Tianavaig near Portree was visible from our favourite beach and consequently featured regularly in my work.
Loch Voil is about 5km long and situated in the Trossachs, nearest small town is Callander.
I have stayed  there several times  over the last twenty years , at a Buddhist Centre (Dhanakosa) on the edge of the loch where they run yoga retreats ( also tai chi, hill walking, painting and meditation). It is great place to relax, paint, walk, eat terrific food and generally recharge the batteries. Worth it for the scenery alone!!
There is also a luxury hotel (Monachyle Mhor) at the far end of the loch where they serve fantastic home made scones and coffee.
The Burn O Vat , in the Muir of Dinnet , is a natural geological feature- a giant pothole carved by a huge meltwater stream during the last ice age. Surrounded by birch woodland, it is accessible through a gap between large rocks (seen in  picture on the right), along a small stream, at the end of a short walk from the visitor centre. There are several other walks from the same start point, including one around Loch Kinord. On my last visit in the summer the loch was full of beautiful, wild, white waterlilles.
